Hi, I’m Melissa, the heart behind Smile Always Studio.

This little studio began with something simple — a glass jar filled with candy and a handwritten note from a coworker named Luisa. At the end of her card, she wrote two words that I’ve carried with me ever since:

Siempre Sonríe.
Smile Always.

It wasn’t just a sweet sign-off. It felt like a blessing. A reminder. A way of living.

I kept that card. I still have it.

There’s something about receiving thoughtful mail — something chosen, written, and sent with intention — that makes the world feel softer. Slower. More human. Every time I receive a greeting card, it feels like being seen. Like someone paused their day to connect.

I’ve always loved stationery. Notebooks with untouched pages. Carefully chosen pens. Stacks of note cards waiting for the right moment. I love writing. I love observing the world, cultures, people, small details. I love meaningful things — the kind that don’t shout, but stay with you.

Smile Always Studio grew from that place.

Every design I create is intentional. The colors are chosen to feel soft and comforting. The patterns are meant to spark joy. The words are written to offer encouragement, hope, and connection.
